Caged within the four walls of the house,
I almost forgot what the outside world looks like.
The simple pleasures of life,
such as sipping a cup of coffee overlooking the bustling city, seems distant.
A quick road trip to the mountains appears to be far-fetched.
Spending weekends at home, the joy of seeking a weekend getaway looks slim. Watching Race Across the World on a Saturday, realisation dawns on me.
There is so much to explore.
Life is too short to stick to the mundane 9 to 5 routine.
How the pandemic almost made me forget my dream,
of travelling the world, of collecting memories, not possessions.
From Munich, Istanbul, and Azerbaijan to Samarkand, Koh Rong, and Hanoi, there are such amazing places to see.
I would rather get lost in the wilderness,
than lose myself in getting by life.
